Security at Northcloud
Security is part of how we design, build, and operate software — not an add-on. This page describes the practices we apply across our products and cloud environments.
Security overview
Northcloud Solutions Inc. develops and operates business software on AWS. Our approach is layered: secure development practices in the application, proven cloud architecture underneath it, least-privilege access around it, and tested recovery procedures behind it. We describe here what we actually do — nothing on this page claims certifications or attestations we have not completed.
Application Security
Secure development practices are applied across our products: input validation and output encoding, protection against common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), dependency review and updates, and code review before release.
Infrastructure Security
Our products run on Amazon Web Services using proven architecture patterns: multi-Availability-Zone deployment, network segmentation with security groups and private subnets, and infrastructure managed as code so every environment is reproducible and reviewable.
Access Control
Access to systems and customer data follows least-privilege principles. Administrative access is restricted to authorized personnel, authenticated with strong credentials and multi-factor authentication, and logged for audit purposes. Products support role-based permissions and SSO (SAML/OIDC) for customers.
Data Protection
Customer data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, with keys managed through AWS KMS. Data is hosted in the AWS region selected for the deployment, and private cloud deployments add full network and data isolation.
Vulnerability Management
We monitor security advisories for the platforms and dependencies we use, apply patches on a managed schedule, and prioritize fixes by severity. Infrastructure as code lets us roll out corrections consistently across environments.
Backup & Recovery
Automated backups with defined retention are standard for every environment we operate. Restore procedures are tested so recovery is a practiced process, not a theory.
Incident Response
Security incidents are triaged by the engineers who operate the platform. Affected customers are notified, containment and remediation steps are taken, and a post-incident review documents root cause and preventive actions.
// Responsible disclosure
Report a security issue
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in our website, products, or services, we want to hear from you. Reports go directly to the engineers responsible for the platform.
Contact us through the contact page and select "Security" as the reason
Include a description of the issue and steps to reproduce it
Do not access data that isn't yours or disrupt service for others
We acknowledge reports promptly and keep you informed as we investigate
